Ebola – Situation, Risk Mitigation and Contractual Situation
In Collaboration with International SOS, The Propeller Club is delighted to announce an evening event concerning the present situation in West Africa with regards to the Ebola Virus.
Industry Experts will be outlining the present situation, what can be done to protect seamen and Businessmen and how to reduce and control contractual liabilities.
The talks will be given by International SOS and Holman Fenwick Willan, after which there will be a drinks reception.
Dr. Michael Braida, International SOS
Michael is Medical Director for Offshore and Maritime Services at International SOS. He is overseeing the provision of shore side response centre services for the Offshore and Maritime industry. In addition, he is responsible of International SOS’ inflight medical assistance and crew support for major airlines. After receiving his medical degree at the University of Muenster, Michael specialized in the field of Immunology and intensive care medicine.
Laurent Vaslier, International SOS
As Group Director for Offshore and Maritime at International SOS, Laurent oversees the development of solutions and services for the Maritime and Offshore sector. After graduating from INSEAD with an MBA and Post-Graduate studies in Law and Management, Laurent was in charge of business development and operations in South East Asia at the Marine Lubricants Division of Total. He also worked at Parker Hannifin in Singapore where he has executed the Oil & Gas Strategy for Asia including Offshore maritime.
Sarah acts for a range of trading companies, charterers and owners in shipping and international trade law disputes, involving petroleum products, cement, coal, ethanol and soft commodities. She has particular experience in sale contracts, charterparties, bills of lading, and off-spec cargo claims involving arbitration or Commercial Court litigation. She lectures regularly in-house on shipping and international trade law topics.
